Precautions for using the module
(1) The maximum input power of the detector module is +15dBm, and the dynamic range of the detector is 115dB.
(2) The module has no reverse connection and no current limiting protection. When using the module, be careful not to reverse the connection, otherwise the chip or module will be easily damaged.
(3) The module is a low-power module, and the power supply does not exceed 5.5V.
(4) Since the module is a high-precision device, in order to avoid unnecessary interference, it is recommended to use a linear power supply.
(5) It is recommended to use the SMA interface for the input signal. Poor contact or poor quality wires may cause signal attenuation or excessive noise, making the measurement inaccurate.
(6) The response and dynamic range of the detector module at different frequencies will be different, and there are differences between different modules, which is normal and not a problem of the module
Frequently asked questions
Q: Is there no response when measuring pulse power? The output is a straight line.
A: The default function of the module is power detection. It cannot detect pulse or instantaneous power. You need to change the C1 capacitor to a small capacitor value to detect pulse and instantaneous power. Generally, the higher the instantaneous requirements, the C1 capacitor can be removed.
Q: I bought two modules, but the output voltage of the same test condition is different. Is this normal?
A: There are individual differences between the modules. The actual measured details are typical data, and the specific parameters have been measured.
Q: Can I do fast detection or demodulation? What is the difference between single-ended and differential modules?
A: With the C1 capacitor removed, fast detection or demodulation can be done. But the interface is different, the differential module can support differential input.
